Job Summary

Reporting to our VP of People and Culture, the Talent Acquisition Partner manages talent acquisition for our global software and consulting company. Working out of our beautiful new Austin office, you will be responsible for providing proactive, strategic sourcing and full-cycle recruiting to support the business. To be successful, you will need to develop and maintain trusting relationships with People Team, Business Leaders, candidates, vendors, universities, and the community at large. This role will support Breakwater’s diversity initiatives, identify areas of process improvement, and ensure positive experiences for candidates and employees. Responsibilities

  • Autonomously manage and drive the full life cycle recruiting processes, from requisition through new hire onboarding.
  • Partner with VP People and Culture and Business Leaders to develop multifaceted recruiting strategies in support of workforce needs. Finding, build and maintain diverse talent pipelines.
  • Manage ATS to facilitate the interview and hiring processes, accurately capturing data in real time. Educates end users (managers and candidates) on their roles in the process.
  • Develop external relationships aligned with Breakwater talent needs and diversity initiatives, including, but not limited to candidates, vendors, universities and networking groups.
  • Seeks continuous improvements to enhance the services of the TA and People functions. Manages projects that support our improved efficiencies and business solutions, within TA and in support of other People functional areas.
  • Makes recommendations on new processes, partnerships, or technologies that are specifically designed/aligned with a designated business group.
  • Makes recommendations based on industry best practices, and be an expert in, sourcing strategies and resources, interviewing techniques, pre-hire assessments, and offer negotiations.
  • Serves as a mentor and model of performance excellence to colleagues, in the TA function and across HR. May identify, and facilitate, areas for continued learning or knowledge sharing across the TA function, HR, or the business.
  • Support culture and employee engagement initiatives with planning and executing events, awards, and various programs

Skills + Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a full-cycle recruiting, preferably in software, consulting, or similar industry.
  • Must be comfortable utilizing an Applicant Tracking System for tracking workflow and documentation purposes. ADP experience preferred, but not required.
  • Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment regulations.
  • Experienced in behavioral interviewing techniques and comfortable in thoroughly vetting candidates.
  • Strong time management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and shift focus quickly.
  • Creativity, flexibility, business acumen and execution skills are critical to success in the role.
  • Fluent in various technologies and platforms including Microsoft 365, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Nexonia, and ADP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise in building trusting relationships with people at all levels. Ability to manage confidential matters with discretion.
  • A deep sense of empathy and understanding for the needs of diverse groups of people.
  • A passion for advocating for others, speaking up even when it’s difficult, and seeing others accomplish their goals
  • A passion for seeing others grow through coaching, mentoring, and career development
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, BBA, etc.) from four-year college or university
